Krista Susanna

I am an advocate of free emotional expression and following one's own path, a gentle but fiery soul. I strive to live in the moment without expectations, demands or a defined goal. This is where the name of my website "Irresistible" comes from. I try to be open to what life has to offer me and how it teaches me.

At its best, this state of not knowing produces a powerful experience of presence, where life can manifest in its full potential with all its miracles. It is also in this state where intuitive art is born: the dance and riot of colours and words. This creative work can unleash hidden joy, repressed anger, trembling fear, hidden desire, and many natural but so often controlled emotions, identified as dangerous or painful.

This kind of space also allows for authentic encounters, where we see each other and are more easily seen and heard, without the mind's agenda or fear-driven need to control. However, entering and remaining in this space is not easy or self-evident - we need each other for this.

I was born in Helsinki in 1975, but my spiritual roots are in Eastern Finland, on the shores of Lake Saimaa. My background is in art and design. I have published a doctoral thesis at Aalto University on finding one's own way, and worked extensively in the field of art, both in teaching and research. I have also studied the basics of expressive art therapy at the Inartes Institute. I currently work as a researcher for the Y-Foundation, which aims to eradicate homelessness.

My vocation is to enable others to enter a space where they can get in deeper contact with themselves and be encouraged to live a life of their own from their inner wisdom. I work hard to identify and release my own inner tensions, for the deeper my own self-awareness and capacity, the better I can help others to see their own power within themselves.

Accompanying me on my journey is a contrasting duo: a gentle and harmonious teenage boy and a headstrong Australian Labradoodle, Cookie.
